Chucks

If you’ve been tracking my package via isnoop.net as mentioned in a previous post you know it was delivered this evening. Now I can reveal what it was I ordered…

They’re my new shoes for work. I’m hoping they’ll fly undetected by wardrobe’s radar. After all, they’re solid black leather sneakers…

They are SOOOO comfortable. Maybe even the most comfortable Chucks in my collection. I’m wearing them now. My feet already feel better. Maybe now my blisters will heal up and not come back.

I’m wearing them to work tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Oooh… I just got a new pair of Chucks! They’re navy blue with parchment pinstripes. Classy! The rubber toe and sides are navy blue, too. Even the laces are navy blue! Here’s a pic…

Ok, so the color in the picture may not show up very well, but you can see them in person at Busch Gardens on Tuesday.

I just got done uploading a sh*tload of pictures to my Other Chucks gallery. I got quite a few of them from Flickr. One of these days I’ll start taking my own pictures again, but first I need to get a small camera for snapshots. My current camera is too big to carry around casually.

In a previous post I mentioned I’d be blocking direct linking to pictures on my site. It seems to be working out quite well. My bandwidth usage has dropped back to normal.

I’m thinking about changing themes again… something more simple… Zen like…

Oh, well, I’m off to Busch Gardens in a few minutes for an afternoon of fun and frolic.

I spent some time last night and most of this morning creating galleries of my Chuck Taylor sneaker pictures. There’s a page with my personal collection, a page of Chucks in the wild, and a page with some pics I collected in cyberspace.

I’ll be adding pictures as I add shoes to my collection and as I take more pictures of Chucks in the wild.

I import my photos into iPhoto on my Mac and then use it to create photo galleries. I does a pretty decent job. I tried a couple other gallery creators but iPhoto is hard to beat for ease of use, even if it doesn’t make the fanciest galleries.

Most of my friends know I collect and wear nothing but Chuck Taylor Allstars. Here’s a picture of my latest addition. My collection is now up to 23 pairs. I have a friend named Tron at Busch Gardens that has 35 pairs. He names all his. He decided I should call mine “Bumblebee”.

My friend Christian, from [Shae Laurel](http://shaelaurel.com/), was wearing a pair of high top yellow and black Chucks. I thought they were pretty cool so I ordered a pair. Mine are low tops and I’ve changed out the white laces for black laces. Thanks, Christian, for your inspiration. These are my current favorites.
