I just got done upgrading my blog software. I’m now running WordPress 2.0.1. The upgrade went fairly smoothly. Everything seems to be functioning normally. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that all continues functioning normally.

Well, looks like things are back to normal here at footprints. When the database server crashed a couple of the tables were damaged. Tech support at Dreamhost has made the necessary repairs. Now all that’s left to do is recreate the lost posts. No, I don’t have backups… yes, I know I should…
No, that’s not what I mean…
I mean I’m messing around with different themes for this site. I’ve downloaded several different themes and have been trying them out. That means that the appearance of this site may change radically every few minutes, or the changes may be more subtle. I think I may settle on a theme called Modern. I’ve made a couple tweaks and things are looking promising. One thing I’ve noticed, all the fonts are nice and legible, but on my version of Internet Explorer the fonts appear quite small. I don’t know if it’s like that for everyone.
I may just quit for a while. I need to get cleaned up and head over to the Bluegrass Parlor. They’ve been having trouble with the door closer on their front door. I just happened to have one up in my storage room. I was able to locate it this morning. If you’ve ever seen my storage room you’ll know what a miracle that was. So now that I have it in hand I should take it over to Jeff.
I ran into Mike and his friends over at Busch Gardens yesterday. It was a beautiful day and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. By the way, Mike, I’m using a plugin called WYSI-Wordpress. It’s not perfect, but overall it works pretty good. It makes image insertion and formatting of posts easier. It also allows for me to directly edit the html it creates.
