My cat, Tommy, is sick. His bowels are blocked and he can't have bowel movements. I had him at the emergency clinic for two days over the weekend. They x-rayed him and gave him some enemas. They gave him medication. They finally got him to go once on his own so they were comfortable sending him home with instructions to take him in if he didn't poop on his own for the next day or two. He keeps trying, but he hasn't gone since I brought him home so it's off to vet again today.
I have anxiety disorders so this is pretty hard on me, also. I'm sick to my stomach and I've had several panic attacks. I have hot flashes alternating with chills. I'm miserable, but as miserable as I am I know Tommy is feeling worse.
Tommy has been my most faithful companion for 18 years. That's a long time for a cat. According to the vet, if we can get through this problem he still has a few good years left in him.
