Being a chronic procrastinator, in part because of chronic fatigue, I really have to push myself most of the time. It's too tempting to just put things off. My floor has been one of those things that I've been putting off for too long.
I went on vacation and came back exhausted. It's easy to come up with a million excuses to avoid working on the floor, but the time had come. I worked a couple hours Monday evening. I worked a few hours yesterday. I got up with the intention of getting an early start on the floor and getting it done. Well, guess what? I managed to find a bunch other things that I "needed" to do. I finally couldn't come up with any more excuses so about 11:00 I finally got back to work.
I just finished laying the last piece of tile a few minutes ago. I've cleaned up most of the construction mess. Just a few more things to put away and a bit more sweeping.
Next up is the door trim, baseboards, and crown moldings. It should be interesting to see what things crop up that "need" doing when I start that phase.
Then there's always the kitchen project looming overhead…
Life is good.

Just a few small nicks… hardly any blood.
