Last night I went with a group of friends to the Pirates Dinner Adventure in Orlando. We had a fabulous time.
The show was great… singing, acrobatics, swashbuckling. And the food was pretty good also. They start out with a light buffet and pre-show show. At the appropriate time we were lead into the main theater by "our" pirate for the evening. Then the show started and the food started coming. The main course consisted of herb baked chicken with mixed vegetables, and a choice of pork tenderloin with red potatoes or garlic shrimp with rice. I chose the pork. The red potatoes were absolutely scrumptious. Dessert was apple pie ala mode.
They encourage patrons to dress in costume. Some of us don't require a lot of encouragement in that area so most of us dressed for the occasion. We ended up being the only patrons in costume. The cast and staff gave our group special attention.
After the show a bunch us us went to Downtown Disney, still in costume, to pillage the shops. Most people didn't know what to make of us. Some thought we worked there. A lot of them stopped us to take our picture. WARNING: Don't go into the pirate store in pirate garb unless you want to be swarmed by other customers.
Here we are…

How much fun is it to be a pirate!!!!!! Mr and I went to Pirate Dinner during the winter holiday season, and really enjoyed it. We were with Saxon the Purple Pirate, and I drank myself silly. It was GREAT!
