Today was the last day of the Bay Area Renaissance Festival. After closing cannon our extended family gathered at the Sofi's Stitches tent for pizza. After filling our guts we all helped Kristen load the merchandise in the truck and then take down and stow the tent. With all the people helping things moved right along. We were done by 9:30.
Next up is the Manatee Renaissance Festival in Palmetto on May 5,6,12, and 13. It's a new festival and they have a pretty impressive line up including my favorite, The Emrys Fleet Rat Extravaganza. Stop in and tell Emrys that Pete sent you.
In late May I'll be spending a couple weekends at The Tennessee Renaissance Festival. I'll be hooking up with some of my extended family again.
After that, who knows? Now that I'm retired again I can start traveling the circuit again.
So many festivals, so little time…

Only went one day compared to your many, but from what I saw and heard, I can see why you are hooked on renfest. It amazed me that so many get into the period, with dress, actions, and words. Carol and I hope to get down to the one in Manatee, looking forward to getting directions from you.
Hope you get to see your extended family again in the future, and not a final goodbye.
