I was in Crystal River for about a week one time years ago. It was right after I graduated from high school.ked if we could go up to Eglin Air Force Base to see my boyfriend. So Mom, Dad, my brother, John and myself all went. We camped and had a great time. Then on the way back down to Sarasota we stopped in Crystal River to see a old family friend. She invited me to stay for a week so I did and had a blast. I went swimming in some spring and just hung out. That was 1967. Sounds delightful!
