The New Guy at Work

There’s a new guy at work. He started a few days ago. I had the “pleasure” of training him on a route today. The first time I laid eyes on him I thought he was going to be a real pain in the ass. I usually ignore those first impressions and give people a chance to prove themselves one way or the other. Within a few minutes of working with him today I decided my initial impression was correct. This guy knows everything. At least that’s what he thinks. He talks non-stop… about himself…

I ran into my supervisor about midway through the afternoon. She looked at me with a puzzled expression and asked what was wrong. I told her there was only one person in the department that didn’t want to get rid of him. She asked if it was me. I said no, it was the only person in the department who hadn’t met him yet, and as soon as she meets him she’ll want to get rid of him too.

Aaaaaaargh!

That happens almost every where one might work. I have missed seeing you and everyone else at BG. Hope to get there soon.

I also had the “Pleasure” Wed.. I was taping a song at the HH, Mr. Wonderful looked right at the camera and then proceeded to walk right in front of it. It’s bad enough when guests do it, but you don’t expect the employee’s to do it, especially when someone else at the table is motioning him to stop. Oh, well, enough gripes for now. See you soon.

He seems to have settled down a bit. At least he doesn’t talk non-stop about himself anymore. Now it’s non-stop complaints about the job and co-workers that aren’t up to his standard. He will be returning to his regular job soon and then will only be working one day a week. I think we can live with that.
