On Saturday, May 13, Cuban Sandwich Crisis will be playing at Busch Gardens. What, you may be asking, is Cuban Sandwich Crisis? They’re one of my favorite bands in the Tampa Bay Area. They will be at BG as part of the Michelob May MusicFest. They will be playing in the early afternoon in Gwazi Park. The featured band that day will be Kansas, performing at 4:00.
CSC’s music is hard for me to describe. They do a lot of originals and some tunes that everyone is familiar with, but in their own distinctive style. Try to catch them, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. I’ll be lurking about trying to listen, but other commitments will probably keep me from the festival area. If you get a chance, tell “The Dave” that Barefoot Pete sent you.
People who have been to concerts in Gwazi Park before will notice a lot of changes in the setup. The main stage has been moved and seating for about 2,000 has been set up. Also, a second stage has been added. That’s where you’ll find CSC.
