New Live Shoutbox Added

I spent the day in Gainesville at the Hoggetowne Medieval Faire. I had a great time. On the long ride home I had plenty of time to think of fun things to do when I got home. I decided to add a live shoutbox to this blog.

After I got home I checked my email and started doing some laundry. I checked a few websites, and when I checked Mike’s site and discovered he just added a live shoutbox to his site. I guess he beat me to it, but not by much. Great minds think alike…

So, anyway, you’ll see my shoutbox over on the right side of the page. You can enter your name and a message. After you click on send your message will appear in the box. Anyone else viewing this page will also see your message a few seconds after you post it. You’ll see anyone else’s messages a few seconds after they post them. It’s kind of like instant messaging.

It’s one of those things that can be quickly disabled if problems arise so be careful how you use it. We’ll experiment with it for a few days and then I’ll probably start requiring users to be registered.
