I went to Busch Gardens today to meet with my friends Sharon, Chris, Sammy, and Grandma. We had a great time, the weather was surprisingly mild.
Upon arrival at the park I got the daily schedule and put it in my pocket without looking at it as I went in to find my friends. When I got there they were eating breakfast. We started chatting about the events for the day when they said Shae Laurel was on the schedule…
Shae Laurel did indeed play today. They did only three shows because they had to leave early for a gig in Ft. Myers. They’ll be here Friday and Saturday, and possibly on Sunday.
Another surprise of the day was at KaTonga. The new master had his first day on stage and did a wonderful job. He has a very pleasant presence on stage. He’s an older man and very large. He really looks the part. His voice is great. There were a few rough spots, but I expect those will even out quickly. His next performance will be Saturday.
Many regulars, especially long timers, know Jason from Moroccan Roll. He was an original cast member but left a couple years ago to pursue other interests. He returned to the park a few months back and quickly fell right back into the rhythm of the show. He also did American Beat and the Christmas show. He’s a very talented dancer with a very pleasant smile.
Today Jason had his first on stage appearance in KaTonga as lead dancer. His talent is really showcased in this show. His schedule calls for him to be in the show on Thursdays, subject to change, of course.
There’s still no word when Irish Thunder will appear.
