Shae Laurel is back at Busch Gardens. They’re doing a Christmas show at the Timbuktu Stage through New Year’s Eve. They have all new costumes, all new music, and all new choreography. The costumes seemed a bit much at first, but after a few minutes I hardly noticed them any more. Oh, mom’s got a cool new bass and Kat has a new fiddle.
It seems a bit odd for BG to start a Christmas themed show the day after Christmas, but it’s great to see this group performing their versions of familiar tunes.
Their first show was a bit rocky. There were some sound system problems. But the second and subsequent shows were much smoother and opening jitters seemed to be calmed.
I’ll be there as often as I can this week to see them perform and give them my support. If you’ve seen them perform before then you know how good they are. If you haven’t seen them yet then get over to BG and see them. Tell them Uncle Pete sent you…
